  • In Association with SANAM Constructions & SINAER Technics, a Company from Spain specialized in providing Aircraft Maintenance, Global Suhaimi formed a new joint venture company for Aircraft Maintenance Services at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam. SINAER delegates visited GSC Dammam Headquarters on the 14th of October 2011 to meet potential clients in Saudi Arabia.

  • Global Suhaimi Company attended a workshop organized by The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu in Yanbu addressing “The role of HRDF in supporting rehabilitation and replacement Programs of operation and maintenance contracts at the Royal Commission of Yanbu”. Dr. Alaa bin Abdullah Nassif, Chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu and Adel Abdullah Shafea, HRDF's Madinah Branch Manager attended the workshop at King Fahad Civil Center. The workshop aimed to find common ground between Human Resources Development Fund and the contractors of operation and maintenance contracts personnel in Yanbu Industrial City.

  • BUSINESS TRIP TO QATAR

  • President of Global Suhaimi Group Adel Alsuhaimi, and VPCA Eng. Yousef Al Bloushi visited Qatar on business Tuesday June 14th 2011. The trip was intended to present an innovative new method of installation for off-shore platforms. It included meeting with Dolphin Energy Company as well as Qatar Petroleum to discuss this new method for building additional platforms to accommodate 60 employees working off-shore. During the visit they also met Alhashimi Group in Qatar to discuss potential cooperation between Global Suhaimi, where they agreed to establish a branch of GSC in Qatar.

  • SWCC JEDDAH PLANT

  • Global Suhaimi was awarded a rehabilitation, blasting & painting project by SWCC for 5 operating boilers for Jeddah no.4, which includes mechanical works. The contract was signed by the Vice President Corporate Affairs in a recent trip to Riyadh. The total value is SR. 40 million. The project will commence after summer vacation of 2011 and scheduled to complete within 30 months.

  • MANAGEMENT ISO REVIEW MEETING

  • The annual management ISO review meeting of GSC was held at its headquarters on Tuesday with the presence of the company President, VPs, Directors, Area Managers and senior staff members. The Quality Department performed a presentation discussing the audit findings, review of previously targeted goals and accomplishments, recommendations of improvement, some projects analysis and other quality performances. The meeting was adjourned with some solutions for the problems faced and the vision for the years to come.

  • TRI ANNUAL MARKETING MEETING

  • The Managers Tri Annual Marketing Meeting of GSC was held on Monday at GSC Head Office with the presence of the VPs, Directors, and Area Managers. The agenda and core discussion of the meeting was over the performance and outcomes of the company along with the obstacles encountered last year, current operations, and expected future jobs for each branch. The 2 day visit of the company’s area managers ended with a visit to the GSC KFI Airport Hanger facilities.

  • KOREA BUSINESS TRIP

  • Mr. Baljit Chahal, Director of Operations of GSC along with Mr. Hae An Kwak, Consultant of GSC went on a business trip to Korea. The visit included meeting the representatives of G.S. Engineering, Samsung Engineering, Hyundai Engineering and S.K. Engineering to discuss possible cooperation methods for the upcoming projects in Saudi Arabia and UAE.

  • The U.S.-Saudi Arabian Business Council had a business development mission to Dammam. The mission consists of nine leading companies from the state of Minnesota and accompanied by Congressman Keith Ellison of Minnesota, the first Muslim representative in the U.S. Congress. Dr. Salah Al Dulaijan, Khalid Almulhim, Hanan Alsafari and Nouf Al Omair attended the delegation at the Chamber of Commerce and had several meetings with different corporations.

The visit program included a discussion on the prospects & past experiences of Saudi employment. The Group highlighted a number of very bright examples of Saudis, men and women, who showed stability, loyalty, dedication & vast improvements in their successful careers with Global Suhaimi.   • BUSINESS TRIP TO PHILIPPINE AND NEPAL

  • Director of HR, Hani Al Muhanna, and Legal Affairs Consultant, Abdulrahman Mekki, went on a business trip to Philippine and Nepal for the purpose of manpower recruitment (Engineers and Technicians). The trip lasted for 16 days in which they managed to recruit 38 Philippine employees for GIWI and 150 Nepali employees for Global Suhaimi Company.

The visit was to introduce a new, very innovative Piling Technology to the Off-Shore construction field.   • CORROSION 2011 EXHIBITION

  • Adel Alsuhaimi and Eng. Taha Anwar participated in the CORROSION 2011 CONFERENCE & EXPO for NACE international held in Huston, Texas, USA. This conference included more than 250 forums, technical symposia and meetings, 20 networking events, and a sold-out exhibit hall featuring over 350 companies from around the world. Global Suhaimi Group had booth # 1334 that received a big volume of visitors.

    The vision of this conference was to inspire and expand on what the industry knows of corrosion control solutions by coming together to share ideas and research and also introduce the latest products and services in the field.

  • SAUDI DOWNSTREAM STRATEGIC FORUM & EXHIBITION

  • Adel Alsuhaimi attended the Saudi Downstream strategic Forum & Exhibition in Yanbu. The Saudi Downstream Exhibition brought together all organizations &companies involved in the downstream petrochemical industries. Saudi downstream 2011 was the first forum to be hosted in Saudi Arabia and focused on downstream petrochemicals and minerals sectors.

  • THE 6TH ACQUIRED EXPERIENCE SYMPOSIUM

  • Global Suhaimi participated and sponsored the 6th Acquired Experience Symposium under the patronage of the Minister of Water and Electricity Eng. Abdullah Al Husain. The symposium was in Jeddah and lasted for three days. The symposium was accompanied with an exhibition where GSC presented their latest experiences in finding solutions for corrosion, concrete repair and rehabilitation and construction of saline water conversion plants. GSC was represented by Vice President of Cooperate Affairs Eng. Yousef Al Bloushi, Deputy Manager of Business Development Khaled Al Mulhem and Eng. Mohammed BaKatheer.

  • DISPATCH COURSE IN FLORIDA, USA

  • Three of the Seven Ramp coordinators who have the seniority and past experience went to be trained in a dispatch course for flight planning and air traffic control. The course took place in PAN AM International Flight Academy located in Miami, Florida. They had a chance to experience a flight simulator, and were granted a Federal Aviation Administration Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate license.

  • President Adel Al Suhaimi, Director of Operations Baljit Chahal, Legal Affairs Consultant Abdulrahman Mekki, and Deputy Manager of Administrative Services Mohammed Al Faihani, went on a business trip to Oman to explore projects in Southern Oman and tour the area to identify existing and future projects and the investor’s incentives and potentials.


    They also visited the Ministry of Commerce in Oman to inquire about requirements to register a branch of the company and local labor Laws in Oman.

  • A SEMINAR FOR SOLVING SALINE WATER CONVERSION PROBLEMS

  • Director of SWCC Plants in Jeddah Eng. Mohammed Al Thubaiti, and Global Suhaimi Vice President of Cooperate Affairs Eng. Yousef Al Bloushi attended a seminar in Jeddah. During the Seminar, Global Suhaimi presented a video showing GSC experiences in finding solutions for corrosion and concrete repair and rehabilitation which are frequently faced by Saline water Conversion plants due to their location in close proximity to coasts and their work domain of purifying saline water.

    Deputy Manager of Business Development in Global Suhaimi Khaled Al Mulhem, and a number of specialized Engineers and technicians of SWCC Plants in Jeddah Eng also attended the Seminar.

  • GLOBAL SUHAIMI & HRDF AGREEMENT SIGNING

  • Global Suhaimi and The “HRDF” singed an Employment Agreement for 90 jobs for Saudi Citizens under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Labor. The signing ceremony took place at the Dammam Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Minister of Labor Eng. Adel Mohammed Faqih, attended the ceremony with the Director General of Human Resources Development Fund “HRDF” Mr. Ahmed Al Zamil, and Dammam Chamber of Commerce & Industry Acting Secretary General Mr. Abdulrahman Al Wabel.

    The agreement was signed on behalf of Global Suhaimi by the Director of Human Resources Mr. Hani Al Muhanna and by the "HRDF" Eastern Province Branch Manager Mr. Tariq Mohammed Al-Ansari. His Excellency Minister of Labor Engineer Adel Bin Mohammad Faqih emphasized the importance of coordination & communication between the Ministry of Labor and all institutions of the private sector to enhance the employment of nationals in all private sectors businesses.
