  • Civil/Concrete Repair works at 110 KV Overhead Transmission Line from Madinah substation to Al kyber new substation has started on 15th July 2010 by Global Suhaimi Company Specialized Project Division in Jeddah. The client was MASS PROJECT (Saudi Cables) and the owner is SEC - Western Region.

  • The repair work on all 533 towers was carried out within a record time of 6 months period in very rough terrain and difficult access roads of about 180 kilometers. Global Suhaimi successfully completed the job by the end of November 2010 without any loss of time and an overall 172,800 man-hours to accomplish the detailed scope of works.

  • GSC hosted the Saudi TV crew (Mr. Khalifa Mohammed Bu Khamis, Mr. Taleb Mohammed Al-Turki, Mr. Adel Ahmed Al-Sadiq and Ms. Huraa Ghulom Mohammed) at the head office in Dammam.

  • GSC VISIT TO AL-RUWAIS PORT, ABU DHABI

  • Adel Alsuhaimi, the President and Mr. Johny Thomas, Deputy Manger of Insulation and Trading Department visited Al-Ruwais Port in Abu Dhabi. During the visit, GSC officials met with several companies and contractors.

  • PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF RAMP COORDINATORS IN KENTUCKY, USA

  • Seven Ramp Coordinators were given an on-job-training for 17 days in Aero Solutions London, State of Kentucky, USA. It was a good chance for the candidates to practice the knowledge they have gained in Fujairah Aviation Academy.

  • AMERICAN DELEGATION MEETING IN MERIDIAN ALKHOBAR

  • HananAl-Safari, Abeer Almushrraf and Nouf Alhamoudi, represented Global Suhaimi Company in a meeting with the American delegation, which was held on Wednesday 08.12.2010 at the Meridian Hotel in Alkhobar. The meeting was organized by the American Consulate in Dhahran.

  • BUSINESS TRIP TO EUROPE

  • Global Suhaimi's President, Adel AlSuhaimi, Vice President for Corporate Affair, Eng. Yousef Albloushi, and Logistics Manager, Ahsan were on a business trip to Europe earlier this month. The trip included four countries; Germany, Holland, Belgium, and Austria.





    Global Suhaimi officials visited several plants, yards and other facilities. They have also met representatives of various manufacturers and suppliers to discuss business development and prospective joint ventures.

  • BIOMETRIC TIME & ATTENDANCE DEVICE IMPLEMENTED

  • Global Suhaimi, I.T. Department in coordination with the Human Resource department has completed the implementation of biometric Time & Attendance devices thus removing the traditional punch card system. The system was made live on first of this month. This is the first phase of the project, whereas later on the same system will be linked to the in-kingdom branches and then out of Kingdom branches. The Department also plans to link this system with the company's ERP Solution to help ease the task of the staff.

  • BUSINESS TRIP TO INDIA

  • Global Suhaimi's President, Adel Al-Suhaimi along with Account and Finance manager, Sardar and Logistics manager, Ahsan have visited Trichy, Tamil Nadu State, India on 18thOctober. The visit which lasted for three days was aimed to inspect the handover of the first lot of Tsunami Houses project to the World Bank and the Indian Government.



    They were joined by Eng. Nizam, Global Suhaimi's vice President for Technical Affairs, who was already in India spending his vacation.

  • VICE PRESIDENT TECHNICAL AFFAIRS(V.P.T.A.) BUSINESS TRIP TO KOREA

  • Eng. S. A. Nizam, Global Suhaimi's VPTA, along with Mr. Hae En Kwak, Global Suhaimi's Korean consultant, were on a Business trip to Seoul, South Korea on 7th August, 2010. The 6-day trip was in order to sign a Painting works contract with SAMSUNG engineering for their Fertil- 2 Ammonia / Urea Expansion Project at Al Ruwais-Abu Dhabi, UAE. During their visit, They met a number of potential clients to discuss future cooperation.

  • BUSINESS TRIP TO EGYPT

  • 19th - 22nd July 2010

  • Eng. Yousef Alboushi, VP Corporate Affairs was on a business trip to Egypt last for three days accompanied by Eng. Bander Busbait, Chairman of NACE Saudi Chapter and Mr. Fawaz Alshammari, Global Suahimi Assistant. During their visit both parties explored the feasibility of establishing NACE Section in Egypt.

    The successful cooperation with NACE Dhahran section has resulted in significant increase in the number of the certified engineers and technicians regionally to more than 500 through the locally offered courses. This success has encouraged both GSC and NACE West Asia and Africa to consider establishing NACE Egypt section as a logical step that would benefit the engineering community in the field of corrosion protection and meet the growing demands of such courses in the area.

    In the course of the visit, the delegation visited the National Research Centre and met with the Fmr. Minister of Scientific Research Prof. Dr. Venice K. Gouda to explore and discuss possible cooperation methods. On 21 July 2010, all attended the closing ceremony of the Cathodic Protection course conducted in Alismailia.

  • BUSINESS TRIP OF GLOBAL SUAHIMI'S EXECUTIVES TO INDIA

  • The President Mr. Adel Alsuhaimi, VP of Technical Affairs Mr. S.A. Nizam and Logistics Manager Mr. Mohammed Ahsan spent three days in India inspecting the progress of the housing construction project for Tsunami victims.

    The Indian Government awarded the job to GSI/GSB and was funded by the World Bank.

    During the visit 10 houses were handed over to the beneficiaries. Thirty houses are scheduled to be handed over every three weeks till the end of August 2010. Moreover, the Company has signed a new agreement with the World Bank to build an additional 300 houses with a completion date scheduled for November 2011.

    They then visited the company facilities in Ankeleshwar at Gujarat state located on the north-west of the India.

    During the visit, Mr. Mohammed Ahsan conducted some business meetings with equipment manufacturers in Vadodarafor city for future cooperation in the Kingdom and UAE.

  • THE VISIT OF HIGHER TECHNICAL INSTITUTE REPRESENTATIVES

  • Global Suhaimi received representatives from the Higher Technical Institute at the company head office in Dammam to discuss the experience with ladies recruitment. The meeting began with an introductory movie about Global Suhaimi followed by a presentation by Eng. Yousef Albloushi- VPCA, summarizing the company experience with female employment over the last four years.

    The visit ended with a business lunch where attendees continued to exchange their vision and concerns.

  • INSTALLATION DEMO OF RETROWRAP MATERIALS AT KING FAHD CAUSEWAY

  • In the presence of the Director of Corrosion Control International- Mr. Anthony E.J. Strange & the Technical Manager Mr. Bob Overgaard, Global Suhaimi team has successfully completed insulation demo of Retrowrap protective material on two piles located at Dammam- Bahrain Causeway.




    The demonstration was attended by King Fahd Causeway Authority personnel, Asst. General Director for Operations & Maintenance Eng. Abdulrahman S.AL Yahya and Technical Inspector Mr. Hassan Abdulqader Al Saad, from Bahrain side.

  • FOURTH ANNUAL LADIES MEETING

  • Global Suahimi held its fourth annual ladies meeting at Movenpick hotel, Alkhobar.
    The meeting was chaired by the President Mr. Adel Alsuhaimi and HR Director Mr. Hani Almuhanna. It began with a speech fr?m the President summarizing the company experience with female employment. During the meeting five members were honored for their four years service and dedication to the company.

    In a show of appreciation for his continuous support of female recruitment, the ladies honored the Global Suhaimi Group with a trophy as a symbol of gratitude.

  • THE 13th MIDDLE EAST CORROSION CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION IN BAHRAIN

  • Global Suahimi participated in the 13th Middle East Corrosion Conference and Exhibition which took place in February 14 - 17, 2010 at the Gulf International Convention Center, Gulf Hotel in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain.

    The Deputy General Manager Eng. Yousef Al-Bloushi, , and Eng. Mohammed Bakatheer from IT Department along with Ms. Ameera Sanad & Ms. Noora Khalid from Bahrain branch presented Global Suhaimi services, particularly NACE courses plan for 2010.
